Overview of the Sensor

The Vectrack flying insect sensor is shown in Figure 1, indicating the main elements.

  1. Sun hat
  2. Hat leg (one of four)
  3. Inlet funnel
  4. Cover
  5. Base
  6. Status LED
  7. Marking plate

Electrical connections​

Two electrical cables pass through the enclosure of the sensor.

The short (0.2 m length) cable is labelled Power and has a 2-pin male connector as shown in Figure 2.

The longer (0.5 m length) cable is labelled Trap and has a 2-pin socket connector as shown in Figure 3.
